Down the Kleť
“The views from Kleť are fantastic. Watching the setting sun is the most beautiful,” says Marek Tovaryš from the Expedicion travel agency, which specializes on trips and expeditions in the area of Český Krumlov. From Kleť, where you can climb the eldest stone observation tower and feast your eyes on the view of the area, you will enjoy a 10-kilometre-long descent on scooters through the protected landscape area of Blanský les and without even once stepping on the ground you can get back to the centre of Český Krumlov or to Zlatá Koruna. In case of good visibility, it is possible to see from Kleť up to the peaks of the Alps.
A free and easy ride without any greater hills can be enjoyed at the cycle track that leads around the Schwarzenbeg canal or around Lipno dam. In the summer months, you can also ride up Kleť to watch the sunset. Every day at 08:00 p.m., a minibus with scooters leaves from the agency. Those more advantageous can descend with a headlamp after sunset.
